8 Things I Can’t Live Without
Here are 8 things I can’t live without! These are things I use everyday and they just make my life pleasant and just a bit easier! I hope you find that we have some similar things in common that we can’t live without!
This one seems a bit obvious! But I literally use my phone for everything. I keep my to-do lists, grocery lists, schedules, most of my pictures, and a whole lot more on my phone. I do think it is important to spend some part of the day away from electronics and maybe journal, draw, or engage in some kind of creative activity. This always makes me feel a bit more refreshed. I think we have come so dependent on our phones (especially me), but some time off the phone is always good! In the modern day, I’m not sure what I would do without my phone. If I ever forget it at home, I kinda get in panic mode and don’t know what to do with myself because I feel like I might miss something important. Usually my phone is always with me and just makes modern day life a bit easier.
I do like to keep my schedules and things on my phone, but I also like to write things out on paper. I also believe it’s good to have important to-dos and schedules in more than one place (just in case). I also use my planner during working hours when I’m not supposed to be using my phone. A planner is so nice for keeping track of things like meetings, birthdays, and lunch dates! It’s also so therapeutic for me to cross things off. It helps me see that I got something done that day – small victories are good too! I personally like to get the 8.5″ x 11″ planners from target.
I love journaling! Whether I just want to doodle, write down my thoughts, make seasonal bucket lists, whatever! I don’t go a day without touching my journal – sometimes I just look back at past additions and reflect on where I was mentally and emotionally at that time. If you don’t journal, I would definitely recommend getting into it or getting back into it! It can be anything you want it to be and that’s why I love it so much! I usually just buy a basic journal from CVS or Target.
Ooohhh girl! I cannot stand chapped lips! It bothers me so much and if I ever forget my chapstick, I am miserable. I especially need chapstick since the colder months are upon us! I usually have a chapstick in every bag I have, on my desk, in the bathroom, on my nightstand, you name it! My favorite chapsticks are from Hanalei Company, EOS Stick, and Nivea.
Iced Coffee at Home
It will be -10 degrees and I will STILL drink iced coffee in the morning! I love my iced coffee. I would spend about $30 per week on starbucks coffee… a bit excessive, I know! Now, I get a medium roast iced coffee and dairy-free caramel macchiato creamer from the store! It’s delicious! I’ve linked the starbucks brands for this combo, but I buy califia medium roast iced coffee as well. This definitely saves me some money and it tastes just as great!
Totes are in this fall and I’ve been loving mine! I bring it everywhere with me because it fits so much. I’m currently using a black Kate Spade Tote that I got on sale! I think it’s chic and is more on the affordable side. It fits all the things I like pile in there, including all my snacks for the day!
I don’t leave the house without wearing perfume! This may sound crazy, but I’ve worn the same perfume everyday for 5 years and haven’t got sick of it! I absolutely love it and always get compliments on how good I smell. I use the YSL Mon Paris Eau De Parfum.
Do you listen to music while doing the most basic tasks or are you normal? I listen to music when doing everything: blogging, working, folding laundry, making dinner, you name it! Listening to music just gets me motivated because I hate doing things in complete silence. Weirdly enough, I even hate reading in complete silence – I know a lot of people will disagree with me on that. In college, I even wrote essays while blaring music in my headphones. You get it now; definitely can’t live without playing music! I listen to a wide range of genres like pop, R &B, Alternative, Classic Rock, Rap, etc.
